SUMMARY:BRIC Building Code Plus-Up Funding Webinar
DESCRIPTION:2024 California Hazard Mitigation Grant Program \nDear Hazard Mitigation Partners\, \nThe Cal OES Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) Team in partnership with the International Code Council (ICC) will be presenting a webinar titled\, BRIC Building Code Plus-Up Funding Opportunity. The webinar will assist subapplicants to begin the planning process for submitting a successful building code Notice of Interest (NOI) to Cal OES. The adoption and enforcement of building codes\, specifications\, and/or standards is an important mitigation activity that provides significant resilience benefits. Building code activities are eligible for funding under the BRIC State Allocation. DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce a venue change for the August General Membership meeting. We were presented with an opportunity to\nconduct the meeting at the new Frontwave Arena in Oceanside. Frontwave will be home to the San Diego Sockers and G-League Clippers\nand host many future concerts and events (Frontwave Arena). SDCFPOA will be the first group to utilize the facility before opening to\nthe public and welcoming Simone Biles on September 17.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur meeting will be on August 21 at 0900 and in person only. After the meeting\, the Level 10 Construction Team will escort us around the\narena\, including the locker rooms and areas not open to the public.
